Picasa 3 is the latest version of Google, and is more amped up successor of Picasa 2.7. Some features have been added, and some features have changed. Overall, this is an improvement, with a load much better (less bugs), some interesting new features, but a listener and a little confusing interface. It’s a pain to add images, automatic scanning crazy on your hard drive (not recommended Picasa 3 Loose on your hard drive to find files automatically), and manually add the files do not mysteriously from time to time. However, an accommodation facility is one of the best of all free, so that takes you through some of the interesting things you can do with the software.
View all pictures
It is a very interesting feature in Picasa. You can see photos of all albums with faces. To the left of the search bar at the top, click on the icon of the face. Click on the icon again to exit this mode, or click “Back to the sight.” This is a filter, another filter of the photos are all pictures that are personal favorites.
Post a slide show on YouTube
Select the ‘movie’ in the bar at the bottom of Picasa. The first slide is a slide presentation text slide presentation. Organize photos, add titles, select music, select transitions and preview the slideshow repeatedly. Once you’re done, click save the movie, then use the button to download YouTube in the interface to put the movie on YouTube. Needless to say, you must have a Google account and an Internet connection for this feature to work.
Picasa3 Sync Software and Web Albums
In the upper right, above the album or folder is a sync button. This function automatically saves all changes to your copy of the album version of the album in Picasa. This works for file changes, labels and add or delete photos in the album. This is not to rearrange the pictures and albums and changing file names.
Editing Photos
This is used to remove stains from the surface of the lens, defects due to dust particles or water droplets, dust and scratches from old photos.
Double click an image once it is added to an album. Under the label “basic patch”, select “Edit”. Use the cursor size ‘brush’ to choose the size of brushes. Ideally, you should choose a brush size slightly larger than the size of the device that seeks to eliminate. Click once on the ground, and then click a similar place in other parts of the image. The brush size is less sensitive, the fix is in place. Floating on the different parts of the image, you should see the spot as cover. You can undo a bad patch in the window itself. Once you’ve finished configuring all, click Apply.
If you wish to cancel the changes, can not be restored automatically.
Screenshot Album
Although Picasa is running, take a screenshot of the screen using the [Print Screen] to save the picture and add it to Picasa.
Improve your photos
This feature works with varying degrees of effectiveness for different images, but is one of the buttons looks like magic. If you trust Google more than your skills in photography, select an album to go to Image> Batch Edit> I’m lucky. There is no explanation for exactly what it does to your photos, but some images have been improved, some were horribly damaged. Copy all files to another folder before trying though, before something goes wrong.
Collage
The meeting point of view in Picasa is a small device to provide interesting information for your web albums. The top of the folder or album, next to the button play slideshow button Make Collage. Click on this button will take you to the window size. The default paste option is the pile of photos, with three adjustments of borders, no border white border and the border with instant camera. If your photos are subtitled, subtitles are displayed next to photos in the collage. There are five options collage, mosaic, mosaic frame, grid, contact sheet and multiple exposure. Mosaic organizes files in blocks of random size. The framework shows a mosaic image in the center, and executives with other photos. The grid of the contact sheet of images and have cells of equal size, and the mosaic of multiple exposure is an odd choice to superimpose all the images in an album on top of another. Do not use this option, even by mistake in an album or a folder with many files, unless you want to hang your computer.
Photo Search by Color
This is an experimental feature in Picasa 3, you can find all photos with a color. Google search for Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple and BW photos. We hope that includes a color selector for this function. Go to Tools> Experimental and find and click a color. Orange search returns everything that goes from red to yellow. Research green and blue are the most accurate. Research yields black and white all colors and pale gray, are not strictly black and white photos.
Bottom customize the toolbar
Picasa 3 allows you to remove rarely used features of the toolbar at the bottom. Go to Tools> Configure button, then remove, add or change the order of the buttons according to your needs and save the settings.
Getting rid of duplicate files
To get rid of duplicate files, go to Tools> Experimental> Show all duplicate files. Then select a file copy and press the delete button.
